Venture - Black

I've had my venture for close to 8 years as I recall, and it is always my go to bag for a few reasons. If I need to carry tools for the job this pack accommodates a wide variety of electrical testing and repair equipment in an organized fashion in the front pockets (don't even get me started on the little velcro pockets, love those) while also having plenty of room for a laptop, chargers, adapters, notebooks, all the admin stuff in padded pouches close to the back. Most importantly for a prepared professional is the concealed carry pockets, I cannot understate the discretion this offers. The other main reason I love this bag is that it cleans up very well and can be ran in a low profile fashion, offering a versatile and subtle approach to many situations. My particular bag is still in very good condition except the carry loop which has frayed from snagging, and one of the pack straps has been severed during certain activities. Not at all the fault of the craftsmanship, I do wish however, SOG would provide a repair service for active users.

I found this bag after some google searching , and decided to give it a try. I had been using an Ogio that just didn't meet my needs.

The venture is solid all the way around , with smooth zippers , plenty of admin storage and great features. I can easily fit all of my Edc gear in it.... Basic first aid kit, small camera kit, chromebook, associated chargers , pens, sharpies , folding knife, fixed blade knife , and a variety of other things I use regulary. The velcro strips in the large front pocket are a nice touch and allowed me to customize the layout of my first aid set up nicely. The concealed carry pocket is a nice touch , for those looking for discreet carry options. Overall it has been an excellent bag , and I have no complaints. I gave for stars, as the protective edges makes the zippers a little akward to work at times , and the zippers could be smoother, but bit a deal breaker. I would highly recommend this bag to any of my friends
